Topeka, KS

Last weekend, my friend Kylie and I traveled to Topeka to visit our friend Michelle. Michelle recently bought a house, and we decided it was time to visit our friend in her new home. So we packed Kylie's son, Graham, into the car and headed north for the day. It was a great trip. We got to see some old friends, meet some new ones, and Kylie and I even did some realaxing in the hammock on Michelle's deck. Too bad both of us trying to get into the hammock wasn't caught on tape, I'm pretty sure it was comical.
Here is Michelle in front of her beautiful new house. I'm so jealous!
Our former KSU roommate, Julie, lives in Kansas City with her family. She had a baby girl at the end of May. Since Kylie and I hadn't met her yet, Julie and her husband met us at Michelle's house too.

Graham and Brooke enjoyed meeting each other too. Graham was born in February and I'd always thought of him as a little baby until I saw him laying next to Brooke. Look how cute they are!

I've only been to Topeka 3 other times in my life. Other than the state capital, I'm not really sure what else there is to do there. However, I'm sure I'll learn since one of my very best friends is now a resident. On my last trip, I was introduced to pizza from Glory Days. Apparently, it was voted Best of Topeka in 2007. It was so good I requested to have it again on this trip. They have a pizza on their menu called the Baked Potato. It has ranch dressing, potatoes, cheese, bacon bits and is topped with sour cream and chives. I'm thinking I'll try that one next time.
Quote of the trip: "This pizza is so good! Can I get it in buffet style?"--Lindsay
